Dr. Samadi was in an interview recently where he spoke about his ideas, how he brings them to life, his typical day, and his entrepreneurship journey among other topics. Samadi talked about recent idea that he is working on, which is known as Samadi Modified Advanced Robotic Technique (SMART). Samadi noted that the new technique is about surgery for prostate removal. David said that his approach is unlike other surgeries that peel off nerves before the removal of the prostate, explaining why most men postpone surgery because of the side effects caused by the procedure such as impotence and incontinence. David’s new technique entails separating the prostate from the nerves that surround it using microscopic precision to avoid damaging the sphincter and nerves. He further notes that the approach used at his center is unique, to ensure that a man’s lungs, colon, testosterone levels, prostate, and heart are all in excellent condition.

When asked about his typical day, David noted that he wakes up at 4.30 AM, and by 6.00 AM he is at his office. The doctor said that when people are asleep between 6 and 7.30, he gets to do most of his tasks. David is always on his feet throughout the day performing surgeries doing duties. He said that he carries out operations two to three times every week. David further notes that he checks on all of his patients before leaving work, which takes time because he has a lot to so.
Dr. David Samadi notes that he has a strong photographic memory. Therefore, he brings his ideas to life through working on his problems by drawing. David pointed out that he illustrates an idea immediately an idea comes to his mind. He further notes that even if an idea comes at 3 AM in the night, he will wake up and illustrate it by drawing. After that, Samadi finds the right team to make the idea work. Dr. David says that one of his most successful projects was designing the most efficient operating room in America. He notes that his hospital is among the best places where one robot can carry out even five robotic prostate operations in a day. Each has a unique duty, and they understand their position in the surgery room.
